Ranklist

Cookie Policy

Effective April 30, 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a site. They help sites remember who you are between requests, which is what makes signed-in experiences possible without forcing you to log in on every page. Some cookies are essential to the site working at all, and some are optional and enable analytics or advertising features.

2. Cookies Ranklist.io sets directly

These are first-party cookies set by Ranklist.io itself.

  • Authentication cookies (names beginning with sb-). Set by our authentication provider, Supabase, on your behalf when you sign in. These store your session so the site can keep you logged in. Without them, you cannot stay signed in. They expire when your session ends or when you sign out.
  • Preference cookies. If you change a non-essential preference such as the site theme, the choice may be stored in a small cookie or in browser local storage so the site remembers it on your next visit.

3. Cookies third parties may set

We work with a small number of third parties whose cookies may be set through Ranklist.io. None of these are set today without your action. Analytics and advertising cookies will only be set after you grant consent in jurisdictions that require it.

  • Google (sign-in). If you sign in with your Google account, Google sets cookies on its own domains as part of the OAuth flow. These are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Discord (sign-in). If you sign in with your Discord account, Discord sets cookies on its own domains as part of its OAuth flow.
  • Google Analytics. When analytics are wired up, Google Analytics may set cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to measure aggregate site usage. These are not set unless you consent.
  • Google AdSense. When advertising is live, AdSense and its partners may set advertising and measurement cookies. These are not set unless you consent in regions where consent is required.

4. How to control cookies

You have several ways to control cookies on Ranklist.io.

  • Consent banner. If you visit from a region that requires explicit consent, the banner lets you accept all categories, reject non-essential categories, or pick categories individually. Your choice is remembered, and you can change it later from the cookie controls in the footer.
  • Browser controls. Every modern browser lets you block cookies, delete cookies, or be notified when one is set. Blocking authentication cookies will prevent you from staying signed in.
  • Personalized advertising. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info/choices.

5. Updates to this policy

As the product evolves, the set of cookies we use will change. When the change is material, we update this page and update the effective date at the top.

6. Contact

Questions about cookies, consent, or anything else on this page can be sent to support@ranklist.io. For the broader picture of how Ranklist.io handles your data, see the Privacy Policy.
