One Piece Fans Are Fighting Over the Five Elders

I knew the Egghead Island arc would mess up our collective power scaling, but I did not expect the community to completely fracture over the celestial elite. As of June 25, 2026, based on 6 rankers who locked in their votes this week, the battle over the [Strongest One Piece Characters](https://ranklist.io/list/strongest-one-piece-characters) has turned into an absolute battleground. The biggest point of contention right now centers on the World Government heavyweights, and nobody can seem to agree on where they actually belong. Take St. Figarland Garling, for example. He is currently the single most disputed character on the entire list. I find this fascinating because we know he has the God Valley pedigree and holds massive narrative weight as the leader of the Holy Knights, yet we have barely seen him swing a sword in the present day. Some rankers are ready to crown him as an absolute god-tier fighter, while others are keeping him comfortably in the bottom half of the top tier until we see a real 1v1. Then we have the Five Elders, who have thrown the entire scaling system into chaos. Rankers are sharply split on St. Shepherd Ju Peter and St. Topman Warcury. Warcury showed off some of the most ridiculous defensive feats we have ever seen, literally hurting Luffy's hand when the captain tried to punch him. Yet, some lists still put him surprisingly low. It feels like we are seeing a massive clash between legacy scaling and recent feats. The division does not stop there. St. Marcus Mars and St. Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro are causing just as much of a headache for voters. Nusjuro's speed blitzing of the Pacifistas was easily one of the coolest panels in recent memory, but is that enough to put him ahead of established powerhouses like Kaido or Shanks? The community is completely torn, with some voters ranking him near the very top and others treating him as a gatekeeper to the elite. My theory is that we are dealing with a fundamental disagreement on how to handle immortality. The Elders do not seem to take damage, which makes them objectively terrifying. But because we still do not know if there is a trick to beating them, fans are split. Half of us are ranking them based on their seemingly invincible status, while the other half are waiting for the inevitable weakness to be revealed before buying into the hype. Right now, the hierarchy of the One Piece world is more unstable than ever. If you think the current order is completely wrong, you should head over to the live list to [disagree with the consensus and rank them yourself](https://ranklist.io/list/strongest-one-piece-characters).
