I was looking at the [Strongest One Piece Characters](https://ranklist.io/list/strongest-one-piece-characters) list today and noticed that the community is basically in a civil war over the World Government. Based on 6 rankers, the power scaling for the endgame villains of the series is all over the place. It is the kind of fight where nobody seems willing to back down on their headcanon.
The Five Elders are the main source of the chaos. For a long time, we just saw them sitting around in a room, but their recent involvement in the story has forced everyone to re-evaluate their strength. St. Topman Warcury and St. Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro are the most divisive among them. I suspect the split comes down to how much credit you give them for their insane durability versus their actual offensive output. Nusjuro shows off some incredible speed and sword skills, yet he still lands well below the established Yonko in several rankings.
What really caught my eye was how much people are struggling with St. Figarland Garling. He is the single most disputed character on the board right now. One ranker will put him at the very top because of his status and the hype surrounding the God Valley incident, while another drops him into the bottom half because we lack concrete feats in the present timeline. He narrowly beats out St. Shepherd Ju Peter in some versions of the list, but the gap between his highest and lowest placements is massive. It feels like half the community is betting on his reputation and the other half is waiting for him to actually win a fight before they move him up.
Even St. Marcus Mars is causing a stir, often getting shuffled around the middle tiers without any clear consensus. It is rare to see this much disagreement on a list, but it makes sense given how much the power ceiling of the series is shifting as we get deeper into the final saga. Fans are clearly divided on whether these new threats actually surpass the legends we have known for years.
