Best StarCraft II Units

How do you rank a Mothership vs a Marine? The Mothership takes 4x the build time, locks up your economy, and requires deep tech. A Marine arrives in seconds and dies in seconds — but you can have 50 of them. Both can win games. Both can lose them. Rank these units by their **total value to a player** — not just cost, not just scariness on paper. Consider: • **Versatility** — how many situations does this unit shine in? • **Utility** — spellcasting, scouting, support, harass, defense • **Cost-effectiveness** — damage per mineral / per supply • **Game-ending power** — what wins games when stacked? • **Skill ceiling** — does it reward good micro? Includes all 50 multiplayer units across the three expansions, plus the 3 workers (SCV, Drone, Probe), Interceptors (the Carrier's sub-fighters), and Broodlings (the Brood Lord's spawn). Mothership Core excluded — no longer in the meta. A Zealot at #1 says you value cost-efficient core combat. A Mothership at #1 says you value game-ending lategame. There's no wrong ranking here — only what reveals you as a player.
